New Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX                09.11.2006

For more than 30 years, the NFL football team Dallas Cowboys have been at the Texas Stadium. More than 3 years ago, the Cowboys decided to join the trend of new stadium constructions around the country. TWS and Haley-Greer, the glazing contractor have been awarded this renowned project designed by HKS, Inc. The project is scheduled to be ready for the 2009 season and upon completion, it will seat 75,000 fans.

It will be a high-profile prestigious stadium. Our TWS curtain wall system will cover virtually all of the exterior skin of the stadium as well as the huge removable doors. This recognition is very fitting as we are in our 25th year in business. Go Cowboys!

It's Sprouting in Las Vegas                           08.15.2006

Texas Wall Systems have been working in the Las Vegas market since the early 1990s starting with MGM Grand. Since then, TWS has worked on many prominent hotels & casino/ resorts on the Strip. Projects such as the Bellagio, Paris, Caesars Palace, Aladdin, Mandalay Bay, Venetian, the Palms, Hilton Grand II and the Panevino Ristorante. The latest trend on the Strip these days has definitely been focused on the high-rise luxury condominium projects. TWS is excited to work on these condo projects: Marriott Grand Chateau I & II, Panorama I & II, Sky on the Strip, One Queensridge Place, Allure and Palms Place Condominiums.

Marriott Grand Chateau is a premier vacation timeshare resort offered by Marriott International Inc. The 2nd tower began construction in May '06. When completed, it will be 38 stories tall. TWS Series 650 Curtain Wall and Series 650 Window Wall are used for this project.
Panorama I & II are scheduled to be completed in 2007. They both stand at 33 stories tall. The architect for this project is Klai Juba Architects of Las Vegas. TWS Series 650 Window Wall and Series 250 Curtain Wall are used on this project.
Sky Las Vegas is another premier landmark of Vegas. The only condomium project directly situated on the Strip, Sky gleams with a sleek and contemporary blue glass exterior supplied by Oldcastle Glass - one seamless integrated and  architectural glass and metal from one source to ease project management and minimize risk. Queensridge Place is located in Northwest Las Vegas. It offers a 43-story European-style luxury living inspired by great buildings from Paris and Brussels. The TWS Series 650 thermally-improved window wall system is installed on the project.
Allure Las Vegas twin 40-story condominiums is another highly anticipated project for residents who want luxurious living in the sky. It offers floor-to-ceiling walls of glass on the exterior and classy finishing on the interior. This project utilizes TWS Series 650 Window Wall framing system.
The Palms Place Condos are located on the far west end of its casino property. When completed, it will be 50 stories at 520 feet tall. Palms Place will be connected to the Palms by an glass-enclosed, elevated, moving walkway. This project will utilize over 200,000 square feet of TWS Series 650 Window Wall system. 
These luxury condominium projects add up to almost 1,000,000 of framing materials.

eBAY                                                8.01.2006

eBay, the online trading platform for buyers and sellers are expanding its corporate headquarters in San Jose, California. TWS is pleased to participate in this expansion, Building 17 on their campus grounds. This project is part of eBay's plan for company growth and development on their acquired 47-acre site. 

Architects, Valerio Dewalt Train & Associates designed this 5-story building utilizing TWS Series 650 Window Wall and  Custom Casette Curtain Wall systems on the project. Upon completion, eBay would have utilized more than 45,000 square feet of TWS framing materials. Webcor Builders is the general contractor for the project, which TWS has partnered with on Broadway 655, Central Place Condominiums as well as The Californian on Wilshire Boulevard. The glazing contractor for this project is Guarantee Glass.

Oldcastle Glass acquires TWS            01.09.2006

Oldcastle Glass, headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif., has announced that it has acquired Dallas-based Texas Wall Systems Inc., a provider of high-performance curtainwall systems and engineering services for high-rise commercial, institutional, hospitality, health and luxury condominium construction markets.

Texas Wall Systems will become part of Oldcastle Glass' engineered products division, which was created by incorporating several Oldcastle Glass companies into one unit. Included in the new division are Fulton Windows, Southwest Aluminum Systems and Oldcastle Glass Retail Storefronts.

"Texas Wall Systems is a very attractive acquisition and is an ideal fit within our new Engineered Products division," said Ted Hathaway, chief executive officer of Oldcastle Glass. "It is a superb company that is well-positioned for growth. This acquisition significantly broadens our product offering."

"Oldcastle Glass provides Texas Wall Systems with a depth of capabilities and financial resources to draw upon," said Larry Long, past-president, now General Manager of Texas Wall Systems. "This partnership will strengthen our company as we enhance our product offerings, further improve service levels and bring greater value to our customers."
